I have to say that I like Windows 7. That OS runs very smooth. Even the 64 bit version runs smooth. When Windows Vista came out a lot of programs wasn't adapted yet for 64bit. Even though 64bit was allready there when XP was the king. Now most prgrams has a 64bit version. Games also run better on Windows 7. It's almost like gaming on XP. Nice work from MS after problem Vista. And best of all, you don't need a high end system.

My home is only 1400 feet away from a 733 foot, 50,000 watt radio tower and another smaller radio tower next to it. In the past, I've had problems with my garage door opening with the remote. Now, my new computer is acting up. Sometimes when I start it up it just gets to the desktop and doesn't load anything. No matter what I click nothing loads or happens. I scanned it with 3 different anti-virus/spyware programs and nothing was found. The room its in has a window facing directly at the towers. I blocked the window with some stuff and the computer works normally so far. Could the electromagnetic radiation be affecting my pc? I've had problems with numerous other electronics and r/c toys in the past also. santoramaa

Hi Mark,

I think that like all of Apple's products it is overhyped.
To be honest it may be a good product but I'd rather wait for a few more versions to come along, get rid of all of the bugs and a bit more functionality ( camera for example) then buy one.
Let the suckers buy it first, find the bugs and then when an improved version comes along buy that one!
I don't like following the herd anyay but that is my 2 cents worth...
Nice blog...enjoying it...

Thanks for your overview. Many who were frustrated by Vista wil find that Windows 7, while looking similar, behaves substantially better. One heavy user I know gets 30% better battery life on his laptop under Win7 as compared to Vista. I find that my VMWare installation of Win7 on my MacBook Pro is far more responsive than Vista was. 7 is quite a lift after the kludge of Vista.
